CT’s DOERR rating on this resort is high, most excellent when it comes to golf. The rating has some caveats, but only for the advance and extreme enthusiasts.

Golf - 5
Five challenging courses including the #1 North American 9 hole par 3's. It was absolutely the most enjoyable 9 holes played. Skill level intermediate to high. For those who don’t take there golf too seriously. Course walking/cart enjoyment - high

Dining - 3
The restaurants are very golf course style, ate breakfast in the upstairs and lunch dinner in the Sports Bar. Everything was fresh and flavourful. Pizza was especially melt in your mouth. No town rating, which is less than 10 minutes away and has all the necessary food stops.

Skiing - unranked
Good beginner to intermediate slopes, no vertical, wonderful fun for all ages of the family or friend group.

Fishing - unranked
Good fly fishing region for those non-golfers or multi-sportsmen amongst Treetops guest

Boating - 1
NA on sight. Lake Michigan (US) and Lake Huron (US/CDN), is situated on west and east side of the area.

Biking - 3
On sight, intermediate to advanced. Not for the seasoned adventure rider or distance rider.

Accommodations - 3
Resort offers hot tub, indoor outdoor connected pool, fitness room and spa. Hotel rooms, suites, newly built chalets available for groups with available rental condos and cottages on sight.

Outdoor activities in surrounding area - 4
Most inland activities can be found, check with the tourism board of Northern Michigan for more information.

Vistas and Terraine - 5
Rolling forest, up and down, great carved out scenic views, spectacular photo ops’, insane lies, with edgy club car trail.

Getting too - 4
Treetops Resort, just east of Gaylord in Northern Michigan. It’s location is in a absolutely beautiful part of Michigan, one hour and fifteen minutes east of the Traverse City airport (TVC) and a six and a half hour drive from the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada.


Canadian Tourist Advice
Plan your vacation early and try to book it during the weekdays. For Golf, weekends from June to September are full, for skiing, hills likely to be open around US Thanksgiving to March.

Important - read the Treetops advice per hole as printed on the score card, it's meaningful.
